2013 Mercedes-Benz C Class Owner's Manual

C-Class (Mercedes-Benz C-Class) – class “D” sedan. The world premiere of the fourth generation of the model took place at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2014.
Perhaps the main thing that catches the eye when looking at the next generation of the C-Class is that stylistically it in many ways resembles the flagship model of the German brand – the S-Class. However, you can find similarities in the sedan with both the CLA and the previous generation C-Class, which is quite logical. By the way, the sedan has become 95 mm longer (4686). The wheelbase has also increased (+80 mm, that is, up to 2840), and the trunk volume has become larger – 480 liters (+5).
No less, if not more changes are hidden under the sedan. Firstly, it has become almost 100 kg lighter due to the use of more aluminum in the body structure (almost half). Secondly, the engineers abandoned McPherson struts in the front suspension in favor of a two-lever (five-link rear). This decision is probably due to the appearance in the list of options of the AirMatic air suspension with four types of settings and the ability to adapt to the driving style. And if you choose a modification with a conventional spring suspension, then the Germans offer three options for electronically controlled shock absorbers for it.
