This series of sports cars has been produced from 1996 to the present day. This model is a luxury roadster. It is produced with a 2-door body type. There are three generations of this model. As well as restyled models produced since 2016, but already renamed to SLC-Class. Similar models to the SLK-Class, among the models of other cars are Audi TT, Porsche Boxster, BMW Z4.

In the third generation there is a different range of gasoline engines whose power ranges from 184 horsepower to 422 hp (in the top version AMG). There is also a diesel engine with the volume of 2.1 liters and output of 204 hp. The basic modification, differs significantly low fuel consumption, for cars in this segment. Consumption per 100 kilometers is only 6.1 liters. The luggage compartment is roomy enough for a sports car, is 335 liters. Foreseen a whole set of safety systems, to prevent various emergency situations. Price in basic configuration starts from 54,165 thousand dollars. Top versions AMG will cost 79,000 thousand.
