2023 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT Owner's Manual

The car that gives it a special status is the Mercedes AMG GT. Its impeccable sporty appearance takes your breath away and beckons you to take a ride. The two-seat coupe is a relatively new model, it has only received a first-generation restyling. For AMG GT developed a unique sports engine with a volume of 4 liters and capacity of 510 and 585 horsepower. Motors work together with a seven-speed robotized transmission, the drive is set only in rear. With this power, the car accelerates to a hundred in just 3.6 seconds, and its consumption is up to 14 liters.

Relative to the previous AMG GT model, this one has a full dual-digital display and the comfort of the car has been improved to use the car for everyday driving.

Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe (Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Turer Coupe) is an all-wheel drive fastback of the F1 class. The global presentation of the car took place at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2018.

It is safe to say that the Porsche Panamera has finally received a worthy competitor in the form of a four-door Mercedes-AMG GT, which is also designed for comfortable movement of four or even five (Mercedes has three variations of the rear sofa: both for two and for three) people.

You can also talk about the design of the car, which is aimed at associating with the two-door Mercedes-AMG GT coupe and outwardly is an “extended” version of the two-door (although in fact it is built on a completely different E-Class and CLS platform). With all the attributes: an elongated hood line, a huge false radiator grille with vertical rods, and air intake zones in the front bumper no less developed than those of a two-door. The sloping roof line should not be ignored either, because it is precisely because of such a design decision that marketers call the car a “four-door coupe”, although formally it is a fastback. Frameless windows add style.

You can also mention the interior design of the car: with a “combat” steering wheel (on the spokes of which there is a scattering of buttons, including touch buttons); two displays with a diagonal of 12.3 inches each, the left of which imitates the dashboard, the right one is responsible for the multimedia system; a large central tunnel with a transmission control joystick and a touchpad; a full-fledged rear row and a trunk for 395/1324 liters. To summarize, the interior of the four-door from a design point of view is a combination of elements from the Mercedes-AMG GT and the CLS sedan.

But! This information takes a backseat when it comes to model performance. This is where dry numbers come into play. Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe can be obtained in one of three “power” versions (all engines are gasoline). The first is the base model Mercedes-AMG GT 53, equipped with an in-line 3.0-liter engine with a turbocharger and an electric supercharger. In addition, the 48-volt EQ Boost hybrid system helps the engine during acceleration, which also “knows how” to turn off the engine and start it while driving. They are paired with a 9-speed automatic AMG Speedshift TCT 9G with a torque converter. The drive is rear with a front axle connected through a multi-plate clutch (4Matic +). As a result – 435 liters. With. and 520 Nm from the DVZ and 22 forces from 250 Nm from the electric motor, which, in terms of seconds and kilometers per hour, is 4.5 to “hundreds” and 285 maximum.

The second most power-efficient version is the Mercedes-AMG GT 63. Under the hood, it has a 4.0-liter V8 with two twin-flow turbochargers. A system for shutting down half of the cylinders at constant low loads is also implemented. The output of the motor is 585 hp. and 800 Nm, and it works in tandem with an automatic transmission AMG Speedshift MCT 9G (instead of a torque converter, as in the previous model, a wet clutch). Other significant differences include air suspension and a rear thruster, which at speeds up to 100 km / h turns the wheels in the opposite direction to the front (improving maneuverability), with an increase in speed – in the same direction (improving stability, as if increasing the wheelbase of the car). Acceleration to the first “hundred” takes 3.4 s, the declared maximum speed is 310 km / h.

The top-end version is the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S. The same 4.0-liter V8 has been upgraded to 639 hp. With. and 900 Nm of torque. Along with the increase in power, the transmission received a drift mode, in which the clutch does not transmit torque to the front wheels at all, and the ESP system is turned off. In addition, an electronically controlled rear differential is installed here. The dynamic performance of the version is 3.2 s to the first “hundred” and a maximum speed of 315 km / h.

Needless to say, the four-door coupe can be configured to match its status as a 4-passenger premium car: there are front active multi-contour seats with memory function, 4-zone climate control (for rear passengers, it can be accessed using a separate tablet), all-round cameras, a Burmester audio system with 25 speakers with a power of 1450 watts, wireless charging for a smartphone and, of course, a complete package of electronic assistants.
