Mercedes-Benz R-Class is a 7-seater minivan with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, primarily aimed at the American market, but also sold in Europe. The car is built on the W251 platform. A restyled version of the model was presented at the New York Auto Show in 2010.

The modest sales of the minivan served as an impetus for changing the appearance and some technical features of the R-Class. After restyling, the car became more modern, incorporating the recognizable features of popular Mercedes-Benz models. In the cabin, the changes were not so noticeable, except for the fact that the minivan became available only with a 2 + 3 + 2 seating formula.

Several power units from the Mercedes-Benz R-Class line have undergone modernization. So, the 3-liter turbodiesel V6, which is installed on the 350 CDI 4MATIC version, is boosted from 224 to 265 hp. With. Gasoline engines, in turn, still produce 231 (V6, 3 l), 272 (V6, 3.5 l) and 388 (V8, 5.5 l) “horses”. All engines are paired with a 7-speed 7G-Tronic automatic transmission.

In the basic configuration, the R-Class is equipped with ABS and ESP systems, alloy wheels, an on-board computer, dual-zone climate control and simple power accessories. For an additional payment, you can order a leather interior, a panoramic roof, maximum power accessories, a premium audio system and other equipment.
