Under the hood, the coupe can have both diesel and gasoline engines. The first is a 2-liter turbodiesel (OM 654), which replaced the 2.1-liter unit (OM 651). Its output is 194 hp. and 400 Nm of torque (a model with such a motor has an index C 220 d). The 2-liter petrol turbo engine has been replaced by a 1.5-liter one, which produces the same 184 “horses”, but 20 Nm less torque – 280 Nm. This motor is equipped with a hybrid EQ Boost system – a starter-alternator powered by a 48-volt system. It has a return of 14 (16 in recuperative mode) hp. and 160 Nm, helps the internal combustion engine during acceleration, turns it off and starts it while driving. Both motors are paired with a 9-speed “automatic” 9G-TRONIC. An all-wheel drive version of the C 200 4MATIC is also available with a petrol engine.

The Mercedes-AMG C 43 version is only available with 4MATIC all-wheel drive. Under the hood – a 3-liter petrol V6 with a return of 390 “horses” and 520 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 9-speed AMG Speedshift TCT automatic transmission. Acceleration to the first “hundred” of such a car takes 4.8 s.

The suspension is either standard with AGILITY CONTROL passive damping (with the option of ordering a sporty setting), or DYNAMIC BODY CONTROL with a choice of suspension modes, or AIR BODY CONTROL – a single-chamber air suspension. The basic equipment is the DYNAMIC SELECT system, which allows you to choose from several steering settings, a gearbox program and accelerator pedal responses.

The C-Class Coupe can be equipped with the Plus assistance package with the possibility of semi-autonomous driving and automatic braking, MULTIBEAM headlight system with 84 controlled LEDs and a beam of 650 meters of range, a panoramic roof, 19-inch wheels, heated and ventilated front seats with memory function and electric drives, a multimedia system with navigation and the ability to connect a smartphone.
