Mercedes-Benz S206 Owner's Manual

C-Class is a rear- or all-wheel drive station wagon of class β€œD”. The fifth generation of the model (index S206). The premiere of the car took place on February 23, 2021.

The C-Class station wagon is designed either for those who a. expects great practical possibilities from the car; b. considers a two-volume body more attractive. Like the sedan, compared to its predecessor, the C-Class station wagon has increased in length by 49 mm (4751 mm), and its wheelbase has grown by 25 mm (up to 2865 mm).

At the front, the dvuhvolnik has the same design as the sedan – thanks to the narrowed head optics with signature DRL flourish and the windshield shifted back, the resemblance to the flagship S-Class is read. Swift, as before, the falling line of glazing made it possible to make the β€œstern” of the station wagon less heavy. Rear optics – like a sedan – received pointed internal sections.

Like other Mercedes-Benz models, the appearance of the station wagon (grille, bumpers, wheels) directly depends on the chosen styling package: standard, Avantgarde and AMG Line are offered. You can decorate the car with discs of 17-, 18- or 19-th diameter. By default, the head optics are diode, and for a fee, Digital Light headlights with 1.3 million micromirrors in each block are available, which allows you to project various alerts onto the roadway.

Due to the increased overall length and wheelbase of the station wagon (compared to its predecessor), rear row passengers received an increase of 21 mm in legroom. And the difference in the shape of the roof (compared to the sedan) is the reason for the 30 mm more headroom for rear passengers. Compared to the previous S205, the trunk volume has increased by 30 liters to 490 liters, and if you fold the rear row (folds in a ratio of 40:20:40, optionally with the help of an electric drive), you get 1510 liters.

Like the sedan, the station wagon received an interior design inspired by the interior of the S-Class. The vertical touchscreen display of the MBUX system (9.5 or 11.9 inches), slightly turned towards the driver, plays a forming role in it. The role of the dashboard is played by a customizable display without a visor (10.25 or 12.3 inches).

The latest generation MBUX itself is already much more ambitious software than just a multimedia system: it recognizes voice and fingerprints, responds to voice commands, and has many integrated services (including music streaming services or smart home control).

All engines available for the station wagon belong to the FAME (Family of Modular Engines) four-cylinder family, all equipped with an integrated 48-volt starter-alternator producing an additional 20 hp. With. and 200 Nm of torque. It is integrated into the nine-speed 9G-Tronic hydromechanics. The basic version of the C 180 is equipped with a 1.5-liter engine with 170 hp. With. and 250 Nm, and at the top of the standard petrol versions is the C 300 with a 2.0-liter engine with 258 hp. With. and 400 Nm. The 2.0-liter diesel engine in the C 220 d and C 300 d versions has been boosted to 200 hp. With. (440 Nm) and 265 hp. With. (550 Nm).

Also, the station wagon can be equipped with hybrid power plants with both gasoline and diesel engines at the base. The battery with a capacity of 25.4 kWh provides up to 100 km of run on pure electricity, and it can be fully charged in 30 minutes. Regardless of the configuration, plug-in hybrids are equipped with air suspension at the rear.

The list of equipment available for the station wagon includes a sports suspension (harder settings and a 15 mm reduced ground clearance), adaptive suspension (with the ability to select modes), a swivel rear axle (the wheels deviate up to 2.5 degrees). The MBUX system can be equipped with an augmented reality function (various hints are added to the image from the front camera). A full range of electronic assistants is also available for the C-Class, including adaptive cruise control, an involuntary lane departure prevention system, an active blind spot monitoring system, etc.
