Mercedes-Benz AMG GT Owner's Manuals

Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe (Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe) is a rear-wheel drive coupe of the G2 class. The debut of the facelifted version of the model took place at the Los Angeles Auto Show in the fall of 2018.

This is not the first update of the sports coupe. And to be honest, this cannot be called an update – rather, a light homologation – the purpose of which is to fit the coupe to the general style with the recently released fastback. Hence the changed pattern of the front optics, reminiscent of the squint of a bird of prey. Behind the restyled version of the GT Coupe, double-barreled exhaust systems replace the oval tips, which look different depending on the version. Moreover, it is quite interesting that due to such insignificant elements, because there are no more visual changes, the exterior of the car looks not only refreshed but also more aggressive.

As for the technical part, you should not expect surprises here either. Under the hood is the same 4-liter V8 (M178) with a capacity of 476 hp. – GT; 522 HP – GT S; 557 HP – GT C and the very top – 585 hp for the GT R modification. Moreover, the latter differs not only in the most productive engine with a “wild” sound, but also in a more predatory body kit, rims and a couple of exclusive colors.

But in the cabin there are much more changes. Yes, the architecture and forms remained the same, but the sports car received a new steering wheel with touch control buttons behind which, instead of analog instruments, there is a 12.3-inch virtual dashboard screen with beautiful graphics. The round ones located on the center console have given way to rectangular keys, as on the 4-door model. The screen of the multimedia system has expanded to 10.25 inches, which can be controlled using a convenient touchpad, as on the latest models.

For lovers of track days, a very useful option has appeared – AMG Track Pace. Allows you to monitor telemetry data in real time, thereby analyzing and improving your time on the race track.

At the same time, the brainchild of Mercedes-Benz and AMG did not turn into a “furious” track projectile. Thanks to a rich list of equipment (seat memory combined with heating and ventilation, climate control, adaptive cruise, blind spot monitoring, parking assistant, surround view camera, adaptive lighting and Burmester premium audio system), the sports coupe is quite suitable for daily use, true quality pavement can sometimes drastically reduce the geography of movement.
