Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class Owner's Manuals

Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class – rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive sedan class “E”. Restyling of the third generation of the model. The premiere of the car took place on April 7, 2021.

Restyling for the “coupe-shaped” CLS sedan was carried out according to the minimum program. The appearance of the base Avantgarde model has been freshened up thanks to redesigned bumpers – they are reminiscent of the previous AMG Line package. The latter, after restyling, received black glossy inserts on the front bumper. The lattice has also changed – the grid in the form of many three-beam stars is now taken as the background for the star. The minimum rims for the CLS are 18-inch. For a surcharge, 20-inch wheels are also available, as is the Multibeam matrix optics (“cuts out” oncoming and passing vehicles).

Inside, the changes are made according to the same scenario that the E-Class experienced: the CLS received a steering wheel with glossy spokes and touch buttons, as well as a touchpad without a rotary washer. The touchpad itself, as well as voice, gestures and, of course, the sensor of the 10.25-inch (or optional 12.3-inch) display, can control the latest generation MBUX system.

MBUX is able to independently create maximum comfort in the cabin (using the optional Energizing package, which can include multi-contour ventilated front seats), learns driver habits, and can also display a front camera image in front of the driver, supplemented by prompts that adjust under the road in real time.

The list of Mercedes-Benz CLS power plants after restyling was replenished with a 2.0-liter OM 654 M diesel engine (version 300 d 4Matic), which is equipped with a 48-volt mild hybrid system that adds to 265 hp. With. and 550 Nm additional 20 hp. With. and 200 Nm of torque during acceleration. Other diesel versions are 220 d (194 hp and 400 Nm) and 400 d 4Matic (330 hp and 700 Nm).

The base petrol version is the 350 (2.0-liter engine develops 299 hp and 400 Nm), and at the top in terms of acceleration to the first 100 km/h are 450 4Matic (4.8 s) and 53 4Matic + (4.5 s), which are equipped with 3.0-liter in-line “sixes” and give out 367 hp. s./500 Nm and 435 l. s./520 Nm, respectively. Version 53 belongs to a number of productive Mercedes-AMGs and differs not only in decor and a powerful engine, but also in a faster gearbox, an all-wheel drive system with drift-mode implementation and an advanced air suspension.

The list of equipment available for the CLS includes a full package of active electronic assistants (Distronic adaptive cruise control, lane keeping and active monitoring of blind spots, as well as a parking assistant), all-round cameras, three-zone climate control. Additionally, the Night package will help to decorate the car externally. Inside, the interior can be trimmed with natural wood and Nappa leather (and not only the seats, but also the door panels and steering wheel). For a surcharge, instead of passive shock absorbers, you can get a custom Air Body Control air suspension.
