2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe Owner's Manual

Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe is an all-wheel drive crossover of the K2 class. The official premiere of the restyled version under the C253 index took place as part of the New York Auto Show in April 2019.

Working on the exterior, Mercedes-Benz designers tried to bring it as close as possible to the brand’s new style. As a result, the crossover received a slightly redrawn front optics (which is already fully LED in the base, and can even become matrix for an extra charge), a modified bumper, a slightly different grille and taillights with a new “stuffing”. And finally – rims with a new pattern.

Once in the car, the first thing that catches your eye will be a new steering wheel with touch control buttons on the spokes. And then only the most attentive will notice a 12.3-inch virtual dashboard hiding in the depths of the former wells and a 10.25-inch widescreen screen in the center. By the way, the updated GLC Coupe received a new advanced multimedia system MBUX, which works on the principle of Siri (Apple) and responds to “Hey, Mercedes” requests. However, such a system can be controlled not only with the help of voice, but also directly by direct touches on the screen. Yes, it is now also touch. For those who are annoyed by finger tracking, a stylish and convenient touchpad will come to the rescue, located on the center console instead of the previous “washer” for controlling the Comand system.

Under the hood of the GLC Coupe is also a number of new products. So, for example, versions of the GLC 200 (197 hp 320 Nm) and GLC 300 (258 hp 370 Nm) have acquired a new 2-liter M264 petrol turbo four. Plus, such a motor has a belt starter-generator powered by a 48-volt network. In other words, this is the so-called “mild hybrid” that helps to accelerate more efficiently from a standstill and save a little fuel by imperceptibly turning off the engine at low speeds. The diesel engine is also new – a 2-liter OM654. This unit will be presented in as many as three versions: GLC 200d – 163 hp 360 Nm, GLC 220d – 194 hp 400 Nm and GLC 300d – 245 hp 500 Nm. Regardless of the power plant, all cars will be equipped with the proprietary 9G-Tronic “automatic”.

Remained in the ranks and “hot” version of AMG. Such cars are equipped with a 4-liter V8 (M177) with a capacity of 476 hp. 650 Nm (63 AMG) and 510 hp 700 Nm (63 S AMG). Such an engine is paired with a 9G AMG Speedshift MCT gearbox. Outwardly, a powerful version is given out by more aggressive body kits and a radiator grille with vertical bars.
