2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe Owner's Manual

Mercedes-Benz GLC – all-wheel drive crossover class “K2”. The world debut of the restyled version with the internal index X253 took place at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2019.

The appearance of the car has freshened up. Mercedes-Benz designers have adjusted the image as closely as possible to the current style of the brand. So the crossover received more slick headlights, which will already be LED in the base (matrix – an option), the front bumper with a radiator grill has changed, the taillights have slightly changed, and the rims have received a new pattern.

At first glance, it may seem that the interior has not changed at all, because the architecture itself has remained untouched. However, a closer look reveals a new steering wheel with touch-sensitive spoke controls, a 12.3-inch virtual instrument cluster, and the infotainment center screen can now be a 10.2-inch widescreen. The branded touchpad on the center console, which replaced the previous “washer” of the Comand control system, tells us that the current Mercedes-Benz GLC is equipped with an advanced MBUX system.

Under the hood of the German, too, a number of changes. For example, the new 2-liter M270 gasoline engine replaced the old M274 engine. This engine will be available in two versions: GLC 200 (197 hp 320 Nm) and GLC 300 (258 hp 370 Nm). The previous version of the GLC 250 will no longer exist at all. Another feature of the new unit will be the so-called “mild hybrid” system: a starter-generator powered by a 48-volt network will help the car accelerate more efficiently from a standstill and coast for greater fuel economy. The diesel line is presented in the form of a new 2.0 power plant (OM654) that replaced the old 2.1-liter OM651. Such an engine will have three degrees of boost – 163 hp. (GLC 200d), 194 HP (GLC 220d) and 245 hp (GLC 300d). Gearbox – torque converter 9G-Tronic.

Of course, the most “evil” versions of AMG have not gone away either. Such cars, as before, will be stocked with a 4-liter V8 with a capacity of 476 hp. 650 Nm for the 63 AMG version and 510 hp. 700 Nm for version with “S” prefix. For acceleration to the first hundred, such “predators” spend only 4 and 3.8 seconds, respectively. The lean versions are equipped with the signature AMG Speedshift MCT 9G box. In addition to powerful engines, AMG models will also have a more aggressive appearance.
