In the Mercedes-Benz CL-Class Coupé, this design theme is realized in the best possible way: two relief lines, “drawn” at different heights along the entire length of the body, structurally form the appearance of the side part, dividing the calm planes and giving noble elegance to the elongated silhouette. Designers call this peculiar relief molding a characteristic line: it structurally shapes the appearance of the upper third of the sidewalls and, separating the convex and concave sections of the door surface, creates a spectacular play of light and shadow.

These light contrasts, cleverly arranged by the designers, make the new Mercedes-Benz CL-Class Coupé stand out from any angle. At the rear, the “characteristic line” fits exactly into the taillights, which extend far into the sidewalls. Designers have carefully worked out the design of displays and controls in the Mercedes-Benz CL-Class.

Their font, graphics and layout are consistent. In order to visualize the different display ranges, the specialists have prepared photorealistic images that accompany the respective control processes and thus support the driver. The COMAND system display has an intuitive and easy-to-use menu system. Large and easy-to-read fonts, as well as a clear structure, make operation as precise and simple as possible.
