2019 Mercedes-Benz S Class Coupe Owner's Manual

At the top of the line are the Mercedes-AMG versions. The S 63 comes with a V8 4.0 biturbo engine boosted to 612 hp. (there is an increase in power with a decrease in working volume – the previous 5.5-liter engine developed 585 “horses”). The transmission is a 9-speed AMG Speedshift MCT automatic with multi-plate clutch, 4Matic + all-wheel drive connects the front axle using a clutch. Check-in to the first “hundred” takes the model 3.5 s. In addition to the S 63, there is also the Mercedes-AMG S 65 – this is the top version of the model in terms of engine power. V12 6.0, as in the pre-style model, develops 630 hp. The engine is paired with a 7-speed AMG Speedshift Plus automatic transmission, power is transmitted only to the rear wheels. Therefore, the dynamics are worse than those of the S 63 – 4.1 s to the first “hundred”.
The base for all versions of the car is the Airmatic air suspension (with additional settings for AMG versions), and for a fee, the Magic Body Control hydraulic spring suspension is offered, which analyzes data from the front camera and navigation system and adjusts to road conditions. A feature of the suspension is the Curve function, which, depending on the steepness of the turn and the speed of the car, can change the tilt of the body by an angle of up to 2.65 degrees, leaving it as even as possible in relation to the road for the comfort of the driver and passengers. After restyling, the system received an improved front stereo camera and can perform its functions at speeds up to 180 km / h. In addition, the car has acquired a third-generation autopilot, which means that the electronics can independently “steer” within the same lane, independently slow down and pick up speed, and also take into account road signs.
