Mercedes-Benz W212 Owner's Manual

In the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the THERMATIC automatic climate control system is installed, which independently regulates the temperature and ventilation in the driver and front passenger area using temperature-sensitive elements and sensors. So, for example, a solar sensor located at the windshield constantly monitors the intensity and direction of solar radiation. Two air vents located at the rear end of the center console enhance comfort in the rear. An air recirculation switch and an activated charcoal combi-filter that captures even the finest dust ensure high quality indoor air.
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class offers an extraordinary feeling of heavenly space thanks to the panoramic sliding sunroof, which is available as an option. Its installation means that almost the entire space of the car’s roof is covered with glass, and when closed, it gives a much larger transparent surface area than a conventional lift-slide panel. From direct sunlight, the driver and passengers will be protected by the heat-shielding design of the panoramic roof glass and two electric blinds. In addition, the newly developed, automatically adjustable wind deflector guarantees minimal noise levels even with the panoramic roof retracted.
