The long wheelbase, the Mercedes-Benz M-Class, and the short overhangs, combined with the tight planes and vigorous body lines, give the impression of sporty proportions. The forward-facing dynamics of the body, defined by its proportions, are enhanced by a rising shoulder line, moldings and underlays. The powerful, high rear bumper and the rear window that extends to the side surfaces fit perfectly into this shape and enhance the impression.

In terms of safety, the Mercedes-Benz M-Class takes the lead among SUVs.
