2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe Owner's Manual
The interior design of 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe is the same for crossovers (with the same protruding “board”, on which two 12.3-inch displays are located: on the left side is a digital tidy, and on the right is the MBUX infotainment system). The only caveat is that sports seats are already installed on the “coupe” and the front panel is sheathed in artificial leather. The second-row seats are designed for three people, and their backs, if necessary, are folded in a ratio of 40:20:40. Trunk volume compared to the previous model has been increased by a modest 5 liters and is 655 liters (1790 liters with the rear row unfolded).
At the moment, the GLE Coupe is offered with two power plants – gasoline and diesel.
Diesel 2.9 (OM656) is available in two versions: GLE 350d (272 hp and 600 Nm) and GLE 400d (330 hp and 700 Nm). Cars with such an engine are equipped with a proprietary 9G-Tronic automatic transmission and a 4Matic system with a front axle coupling.
Gasoline 3.0 (M256), 435 hp and a torque of 520 Nm, available only in the pre-top version of the GLE 53 AMG. Such a unit, in addition to a turbocharger and an electric supercharger, also has an EQ Boost system and, in other words, is a so-called “mild hybrid”. The transmission of the 53rd is an AMG Speedshift TCT 9G torque converter and all-wheel drive.
By default, the coupe-like crossover from Mercedes-Benz is equipped with a spring suspension, and Airmatic pneumatics are an option. However, by paying a little more, you can also get the pride of Mercedes – the advanced E-Active Body Control suspension. Its peculiarity is that it allows you to control each wheel separately. At high speeds, the system will help fight rolls, and on the off-road section it will be able to align the position of the body in advance. If, nevertheless, the car is stuck, the system will imitate the buildup, which as a result should help to get out of the trap.
